Sex and the City: Jeremy scene

EXT. NEW YORK STREET - NIGHT

JEREMY

Hey!

They hug for a long time.

CARRIE

You look great.

JEREMY

Well, I knew you looked great because I saw you on your book, but...gotta say, even better in person.

CARRIE

I’m so glad you called.

JEREMY

I’m spending the month in Connecticut, so I had to look you up.

CARRIE

How are you? I heard you were married to someone you met in business school.

JEREMY

Yeah. We definitely miscalculated that one. Got divorced a couple years ago. So I’m on my own again.

CARRIE

(That never occurred to her)

Oh.

JEREMY

What about you? Seeing anybody?

CARRIE

Nope. Wide open.

JEREMY

How is that possible?

CARRIE

JEREMY

He makes an "L" on his forehead like thye used to in high school. Carrie laughs, guilty as charged.

CARRIE

Maybe... But my fictional plans fell through, so I think I’m available.

CARRIE (CONT’D)

Hey, I didn’t even ask what you were doing in Connecticut.

JEREMY

Nothing...for a change. I’ve been working my ass off in Denver for the past decade, so I decided to take a month off...spend some time at sea level. I’ve been out in the country, just relaxing, sorting through some things...

CARRIE

Sometimes you need to get away.

JEREMY

And sometimes you wonder why you stayed away so long.

He gives her a little nudge. She nudges back.

CARRIE

Well, this is my place.

JEREMY

Nice building.

CARRIE

Yeah, I love it here.

There is definite sexual tension - both want to kiss.

JEREMY

I feel like I want to kiss you, but I’m not sure what...

CARRIE

I know! It’s very unclear.

JEREMY

This isn’t a first date. We’ve already dated.

CARRIE

And we’ve kissed.

JEREMY

Many times.

CARRIE

Hours.

JEREMY

We were in a lip lock for most of

CARRIE

So what’s one more kiss?
