We hope everyone had a wonderful holidays and was able to un wind and be with family. We are very excited for all the cool things we have planned this year.

A Night of Scenes is back this February and we can’t wait to get back into the theater. 

We have made it much easier to signup for A Night Of Scenes this year and we encourage you to come out an audition. This has been a wonderful part of We Are Actors that continues to grow and allows us to give our members a chance to get on stage and work their craft.

Marianne has appeared in over 60 theatrical productions in NY, LA and regionally including three seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival as well as the Edinburgh Festival, U.K. Some highlights: Angie in Breaking Legs at the Pasadena Playhouse, Annette in God of Carnage at Theater By The Sea, Lucille in the American Clock (Arthur Miller in residence) at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Dockdaisy in the Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui also at Williamstown, Janet in Italian-American Reconciliation at the Zephyr Theatre, Mrs. Cheveley in An Ideal Husband at the Met Theatre, Marta in Company at the Little Theater, Off Broadway to name a few. Iterations of Guido Girl Ascending have been workshopped in NY and LA with plans for an Off Broadway run in 2023. She’s also adapting Guido Girl Ascending for the large and small screen. Now, it all informs her characters’ lives. She loves playing underestimated fighters with guarded vulnerability. Jenna Elise is a NYC based actor and singer working in film, television and theater. In 2022, Jenna completed the William Esper Studio's two year conservatory program, having also studied the techniques of Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Susan Batson. She has a gift for displaying vulnerability in bold women and tends towards roles that are intelligent and daring. Jenna's recent projects include the lead roles of Sarah Thacker "In the Darkness Outside", now available to watch on Amazon Prime, and Mona in "Fuggboi," a 2021 webseries. Madeline Burton is a NYC based actor and artist. She's a graduate of NYU Tisch with a BFA in Acting and has gone on to study at the William Esper Studio. Caroline Gottlieb is an actress and producer from the Jersey shore. After a childhood of community theatre, years of dance training and the Atlantic City High School drama club, Caroline went on to major in Theatre at Pace University in New York City. After college, Caroline made the move to Los Angeles where she studied under Allen Barton and director Howie Deutch at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. During her time in LA, Caroline produced three plays, all of which were very well received by audiences and industry professionals. She starred in two of the three plays she produced and her performances were praised in several theatre publications. Specifically, her play COCK by Mike Bartlett, was named one of the top ten theatre productions in Los Angeles in 2019. Other theatre credits include BRILLIANT TRACES, THE SEAGULL, BACHELORETTE, FOUR DOGS AND A BONE among others. Film credits include SHARK WEEK (2018 WINNER Film Invasion LA: best actor, best short film, best screenplay.) FLAT, A RISING TIDE, TEMP-TO-PERM, I’M NOT HERE. Karina Verna (she/her) is an actor, writer and director based in New York City. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she studied stage and film acting. She recently made her directing debut in the Open Hydrant Short Play Festival. Mackenzie Beale(she/her) a Texas native who now lives in New York City. She is a graduate from the American Musical Dramatic Academy, and is now finishing her studies at the New School. Some theatre productions she has been a part of, Annie in “Oklahoma”, and Ursula in “Bye Bye Birdie.” She is very thankful for this opportunity, and the strong circle of people in her life that continues to support her.

Helen Textor is an NYC based actor, originally from Kansas City. Helen is a 2020 graduate of Elon University’s BFA Acting program where she played Hannah Jarvis in Tom Stoppard’s ‘Arcadia’ and originated the role of the Young Executive in the US premier of Steven Dietz’s play, “American La Ronde”. Helen likes to think of herself as “a dialect nerd” because of her love and passion for learning and independently coaching accents and dialects for the stage. In 2023, Helen can be seen playing a lead role in CLSquared Productions’ new feature independent film, “Nowhere Fast”. If you’re ever roaming around Rockefeller Center, pop into Del Frisco’s Grille and ask Helen to make you a cocktail- as one of the Senior bartenders here, Helen makes the best margarita in New York City. Grace Bardsley (she/her) is a Raleigh North Carolina native and proud to now call New York City her home. Lee Arden is an Irish-American actor based in New York City who has performed internationally on both stage and screen. In NYC, she's been seen onstage in Lady Macbeth (The Cutting Room), The Four Million (The Gene Frankel Theater), and the US premiere of We'll Dance on the Ash of the Apocalypse (Spindrift Theatre). Marissa Ghavami (she/they) is an Iranian-American, queer artist, advocate and creator. Film and TV highlights include starring in the feature film The Gift of Christmas alongside Academy Award Nominee Bruce Davison and Dee Wallace (E.T.), as well as roles in Paramount’s theatrically released feature film Not Fade Away, directed by David Chase (creator of The Sopranos) and starring James Gandolfini, and on CBS’s Without A Trace. Marissa first gained national attention singing on NBC’s legendary It’s Showtime at the Apollo. She has sung at NYC hotspots Joe’s Pub (alongside Tony Nominee L Morgan Lee), Birdland (alongside Academy Award Winner and Tony Nominee Ariana DeBose) and 54 Below. She has done voice over, commercial and print for Audible, McDonald's, Ford, JCPenney, Belvedere, PepsiCo, Girl Scout Cookies and KFC. 

Marissa co-produced the feature film Mass (by Fran Kranz, starring Ann Dowd, Jason Isaacs, Martha Plimpton and Reed Birney) which premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, was acquired by Bleecker Street Films, hit theatres in October of 2021 and is currently streaming. Mass is the Winner of the Robert Altman Award and is a Gotham, Critics Choice and BAFTA nominee. Marissa co-wrote and was the lead producer on the short film Silk, which was directed by John Magaro (Carol, The Big Short) and is an Official Selection at the Academy Award qualifying Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture series.
